Unlock the Acne Challenge
Acne is one of the most commonβand most frustratingβskin concerns clinics face. The challenge is not simply finding another product. It is understanding which acne you are treating, what the skin needs now, and which treatment belongs at each stage.
At SwedGM Academy, we bring the pieces together in one practical workshop: different acne presentations, different professional treatment strategies, tailored home care, and real treatment decision-making. This is designed to give you a clearer system for cases that are often difficult, recurring or resistant.
Not One Acne. Not One Protocol.
Comedonal acne, inflammatory acne, adult acne, sensitive acne-prone skin, acne with pigmentation and post-acne scarring do not respond to the same approach. During this workshop, we will show you how to recognise the differences and build a treatment journey around the individual skinβnot around a single product.
The goal: help you unlock the acne challenge with a practical framework you can take back to your clinic: identify β treat β support at home β reassess β progress.
What You Will Learn
- How to recognise common acne presentations including comedonal, inflammatory, adult acne, oily/seborrhoeic acne and acne with pigmentation
- How active acne differs from post-acne pigmentation and acne scarring
- How skin sensitivity and barrier condition change the treatment strategy
- How to choose between different professional treatment approaches
- When chemical peeling may be appropriate and how peel selection changes according to the skin
- Where advanced treatments such as Phytopeel may fit into a treatment plan
- When microneedling belongs in the journeyβand why active inflamed acne should be approached differently from acne scars
- How to build home-care routines for different acne presentations
- How to plan a treatment series instead of treating every visit as an isolated session
Clinic Treatment Protocols
We will work through practical treatment logic for different presentations, including:
- Comedonal & oily acne: congestion, keratolysis and sebum regulation
- Inflammatory acne: controlling inflammation while avoiding unnecessary irritation
- Acne + sensitive/reactive skin: adapting treatment intensity and supporting the skin barrier
- Acne + pigmentation: controlling breakouts while addressing post-inflammatory pigmentation
- Resistant / seborrhoeic skin: when more advanced corrective treatments may be considered
- Post-acne scars: treatment planning after active inflammation is controlled
Home Care by Acne Type
Home care should support the clinic treatmentβnot compete with it. We will compare routines for oily/comedonal acne, inflamed acne, sensitive acne-prone skin and acne with pigmentation, with emphasis on cleansing, sebum control, active ingredients, hydration, barrier support and SPF.
Practical Case Discussion
Participants will review acne cases and decide:
- What type of acne or post-acne concern is present?
- What should be treated first?
- Which clinic approach is appropriate?
- What should be avoided?
- Which home-care direction should support the treatment?
